Tom Cochrane with Red Rider will perform at halftime on Friday, June 14 when the Edmonton Eskimos take on the Montreal Alouettes for the regular-season home opener. Kickoff is 7 p.m.
Tickets to the game are available now at ticketmaster.ca, starting at $34 (+ taxes and fees).
The stage will be set in the north endzone, allowing anyone with a ticket to the Sawmill Endzone Party to get up-close-and-personal during live performances. Additionally, a few hundred fans will be randomly selected at stadium gates and through other promotions and contests to watch the “Life is a Highway” singer from field level.
Cochrane will perform following a special halftime retirement acknowledgement for former Esks receiver Fred Stamps. The four-time CFL All-Star signed a one-day contract in early April to officially retire from professional football as a member of the Green and Gold.
